Urbanista Sydney Portable Speaker Review

Read Time:2 Minute, 43 Second

Upon opening the rather small box, you’ll be greeted with a fabric covered face staring back at you.

The first thing to note is that size, really doesn’t matter. And the Sydney portable speakers should definitely not be judged based on first appearance – small though it is, the speaker packs a mighty punch.

Along the top of the speaker, you’ll find the power button, a bluetooth button, a volume up button and volume down button.

Along the sides you’ll find the Urbanista logo, and at the bottom; two rubber non-stick grips, to secure the speakers on any side table or work surface.

On the back panel, you’ll find a rubberised water resistant seal. And under that seal, there’s a charging port and aux port – so you could connect a phone (with a headphone jack) to the speaker, directly. Rather than via bluetooth.

The speakers main function, is to connect to a phone or tablet via bluetooth. And it’s couldn’t be simpler to connect.

Just hold the bluetooth button on top of the device, and from the bluetooth menu on your phone (or tablet), just tap on the ‘Urbanista Sydney’ device. And confirm the pair – job done.

Once you’re connected, the beach party can begin.

The sound is incredibly loud, the quality is great, having a beach party with a pair of these speakers will go down very well, with all guests hearing the music easily.

Thankfully, I was sent two of the Sydney speakers. And this, in turn meant. I could pair them together and create a stereo pair of speakers; trust me when I say the sound quality of one is great, but two… WOW!

Urbanista Sydney Portable Speakers

To pair two of the Sydney speakers together. Before pairing to a phone, simply turn on both speakers. Then at the same time; hold the bluetooth button on both speakers. The led will flash between red & white. And then once connected, both speakers will flash with a white led. You can now connect one ‘main’ speaker to a phone, and now you can enjoy stereo sound.

The Sydney Portable Speakers are the best I’ve heard in a long time. For their size, this really is a speaker to consider. It’s lightweight, portable, affordable and as I mentioned; packs a mighty punch.
